Beijing’s improvisational trio FluFlaFen’s “Sorcery Sauce” is a full-bodied, firebrand assault on the senses - an unrelenting, transcendental punk-jazz coup de maître.
All the compositions are completely improvised - at times brutal, immediate and uncompromising with layers of tasteful, transcendental ambience that wouldn’t be out of place on Miles’ “On the Corner” or “In a Silent Way”. Each member knowing exactly when to push the boundaries and when to reign in the beast.
Born out of the pandemic, this culturally diverse experimental, jazz-rock trio comprised of Jukka Ahonen on guitar, Yoni Geller on drums, and Hadi Marvian and fits alongside the likes of Last Exit, Zu, Flying Luttenbachers, Painkiller or Fushitsusha.
