The artists:
Katerina Stathis is a music therapist, multi-instrumentalist and composer. Her compositions for synthesiser are genre agnostic though lean into her interest of fusing classical timbres produced on modular, scratchy noise and hero dance banger anthems with an innate desire to connect with her inner monologue. For this set she will be presenting an Opus of works for Modular, Slicer Pedal, Analog Rytm & Analog Four.
Teeth Dreams is the project of Gimuy-born microtonal "harsh ambient" composer and performer Violet Aisling. Combining xenharmonic drones, field recordings, sheets of static noise & live musique concrète manipulations, Aisling's work drifts between the etherial and the unnerving.
Matt Barker grew up in a small rural village in Far North NSW. His parents were unemployed. Thrash Metal was an escape from boredom and alienation. Matt Barker is making Ambient Thrash as a homage to this childhood using modular synthesis and samples from low quality YouTube clips.
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the continuing custodians of the land where this event takes place.
