"The Reef Eye" - a video by Ernie Althoff and John Campbell

This video couples the rotation of the Ferris wheel with that of the workings of the barrel organ, whose sounds are so often associated with fairground amusements. These mechanical instruments were used from the early 18th century in secular music and in church services. Could the Ferris wheel ever be used to attain a ‘nearer, my god, to thee’ status?
