Maranoa Botanic Gardens - a video by Ernie Althoff and John Campbell

 


Maranoa Botanic Gardens began in the early 1890s as a private garden. The former City of Camberwell acquired the area in 1922 and continued the planting, gradually removing all non-native species. With some 5000 plants, most of which are named, these gardens have been registered with the National Trust, and are an important part of Australian gardening history.
