Granite Bay - a video by Ernie Althoff and John Campbell

Granite Bay is one of the serenely beautiful beaches in Queensland's Noosa National Park. It is accessible only from the Coastal Walking Track. No car parks here! Queensland's oldest community conservation organisation, the Noosa Parks Association was founded in 1962 primarily to stop the construction of a road around the Park's seaward edge to facilitate subsequent development. The tenacity of their approach has become the hallmark of all their campaigns. The NPA supported landmark decisions such as a ban on high-rise buildings, and the protection of important tidal wetlands. The thousands of hectares of National Parks surrounding Noosa are direct proof of the Association's hard work since then.
