New North are pleased to announce their inaugural Emerging Artist Commission.
The New North Emerging Artist Commission is an opportunity for composers, performers and sound artists aged 24 or younger to develop a new work of 15-30 mins duration for presentation at New North’s final concert of 2021, held at Brunswick Mechanics Institute on Thursday, October 7th.
The successful applicant will receive a commission fee of $750 and an opportunity to have their work presented by an ensemble of up to four experienced performers. This performance will be professionally recorded and the successful application will be provided with high quality documentation for use at their discretion.
