Thursday Freak Out with Man from Atlantis and the Moon of Deliverance and Octave Pussy Oct 24 Red Betty, Brunswick.

A night to raise the freak flag and decalcify the third eye with the psyched-out sounds and sonic experimentations of Man from Atlantis and the Moon of Deliverance, and Octave Pussy.

Playing in rare full band format Man from Atlantis and the Moon of Deliverance will travel the spaceways and summon the psychedelic spirits of past and present to explore recognisable, deconstructed structures of traditional pattern arrangements.

Joining them will be duo Octave Pussy combining acoustic percussion with semi-acoustic bass and live processing. The duo performs a mixture of devised and improvised works. Nat and Miranda are regular collaborators and have worked together on a variety of different creative projects over the past five years, including for Miranda’s 3 Shades Black project, and as member of Adam Simmons’ Creative Music Ensemble, and art music quartet Thunder Grass.

Music from 8pm.

Man From Atlantis and the Moon of Deliverance is an experimental, psychedelic project of Melbourne musician Mike Sill (Ray Of Creation / Imperial Leatherman), and has a fluid line-up of contributors from High Pass Filter, Hash Converter and The Sunset Strip.
