Buttress O'Kneel is more renowned these days for her fun and quirky pop-compost "compop" musical glitchery - and it's no surprise, considering she's on her 26th release in that particular series - but her early days were less concerned with musical tomfoolery and more with plunderphonic activism.
She called it her "ReMemetic ReMedia Psyoperational Pstrategies" series, and with a cutting-edge blend of angry despair, biting humour and sampled snark she tackled subjects from Multinational Corporate Globalisation, to the War on Terror, to using Fear to Control the Populace, to Resource Control as the Motivation for War - even the goddamn Illuminati. 100% uncleared samples, these mashumentaries were equal parts reportage and act of defiance - some new kind of journalism that was both infotainment and call to arms.
Well, she's back.
This time, Buttress tackles The Decadent Trio of Pastimes:
SEX, DRUGS and ROCK N ROLL.

Why is it Sex sells? Why are Drugs impervious to the War against Them? Why do people keep blaming Rock n Roll? Why do Sex, Drugs, and Music always seem to hang out together? Are Sex, Drugs, and Rock n Roll all terrible evil things that we need protecting from? Or are they
actually all paths to Enlightenment? Or are they paths to Enlightenment
and terrible evil things at the same time? And if they're so terrible and evil, why is
everyone doing them? And if they're paths to Enlightenment, why are so
many people who do them Not Enlightened at all? And if they're paths to
Enlightenment, why does Big Government want to control them so much? Or
is that EXACTLY WHY?
Are all three just harmless fun? Or
are they harmful fun? Or are they only harmful when used
disrespectfully? Or is EVERYTHING harmful in the wrong doses? Or is EVERYTHING fun in the right ones? Are these things more than "just
fun"? And hang on, what's wrong with "just fun" anyway?
