German improv duo Stefan Strasser and Ulrich Langenbach's release 'Think Short'

Two musicians. preparations. extensions into the unknown — Stefan Strasser (prepared electric guitar) and Ulrich Langenbach (prepared electric guitar, amplified viola, and cello). The album was recorded live in two sessions in Ulrich's rehearsal room in Siegen, Germany..

Here, for the German duo, improvisation does not mean freedom from rules, but the exact opposite: the utmost attention;  the ear before the hand. sound as a question, not an answer. Prepared strings shift the boundary between tone and noise, between instrument and body — until these boundaries become meaningless.

What has been recorded here once existed. exactly like this. No edits, no cuts. Never again.
