The planar shapes and linear elements of chairs and tables can make interesting juxtapositions when seen as two-dimensional images. Shadows may add another intriguing element. Here one wonders whether humans have just departed or may be just about to arrive, to be seated at a concert of concerts.
The soundtrack for this video pays homage to Australian sound recordist Les Gilbert, as it consists entirely of excerpts from audio recordings made by him. It’s indicative of the joy and excitement he got from paying close attention to an eclectic range of sounds. Note how he finds percussive music in wind-blown tree branches.
