We're back for the June edition of Disco Brut. Bringing a night of improvised noise, oppressive electro and modular xenosonics. Four live performances pushing the limits of sound and order.

Featuring: Free Fields, Myst Mach, Amias Hanley + Christian Bishop and cleaninglady

Free Fields is the new live project by Mat Watson. Free Fields explores Kosmische sounds & psychoactive pulsations using two self contained modular systems and a mountain of prerecorded acoustic drum performance fodder. Reinvention. Renewal. Transcendence.

Myst Mach is a weird sex creature that crawled out of the bush combining the energies of drag and experimental electronic music to create a spell of luscious frenzy. Influenced by the extreme end of electronic music, from noise to ambience, minimalism to hyperpop.

Amias Hanley + Christian Bishop’s new live based project explores electro magnetics and acoustic resonance through handmade instruments and hardcore experimentalism. The repurposing of acoustic and digital devices into new sonic variables gives voice to the ghost in the machine.

cleaninglady is the experimental improv project of Stevie Richards, a DIY electronics and woodwind player and performer. Departing from alto sax, free jazz and modular synthesis cleaninglady explores sound and visuals through handmade devices and triggers.

Expect everything and anything from dissonant electronics to extreme ambience and pleasantly harsh noise; infrasound and the rerouting of the vibrational continuum.

This show takes place on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri people. We pay our respects to Elders past present and emerging and acknowledge their continuing connection to the land, waters, language and culture.
