Seizing the means of production: the accessibility of electronic music | Invitation to participate in research

Research Study Title: Seizing the means of production: the accessibility of electronic music.

Researchers at NIDA and UNSW are conducting a project about current experiences of electronic music artists in Australia from an intersectional feminist perspective and aim to identify how electronic music has provided access to music making where other mediums have not, as well as to identify any barriers to participation that remain.

The research project is looking for people who want to take part in this research and who meet the following criteria:

  • Identify as female, trans, non-binary, or gender non-conforming

  • Create electronic music, used to create electronic music, or want to in the future

  • Are over the age of 18

Participation in this research is not a requirement, and your decision to take part or not to take part is optional and voluntary.

All participants will have the opportunity to enter the draw to win a $50 Mannys/Store DJ voucher.

It will take approximately 45 minutes to complete the survey/measures outlined in the attached Participant Information Statement, which contains a full description of the research activities, risks associated with these activities and any discomforts that you may experience during the research.
