In 2000, the Fruiting Body, a duet comprising of plunderphonic sound artist Buttress O'Kneel and nature-lover and field recordist Panthera Leo, released an album of strange glitchy configurations and trance-inducing field collages, called 'The Field'.

One year later, the duo released the epic glitch-concrete album 'Nudibranch and the Moondew'.

And then... silence.  Panthera Leo left the band and went on to become an environmental advocate and culinary activist, and Buttress continued making the political and dada cutups she's famous for.

But now, almost twenty years later, The Fruiting Body is back, with a new lineup, and a new album.  Because while Panthera Leo might have retired from music, her daughter (and one half of avant-pop outsiders Stinky Picnic) Indigo Loki Aurora has taken up the baton!

2020 might suck for a whole lot of reasons, but this is not one of them.

Finally!  More field-pop!  More glitch-concrete!  More avant-collage you can dance to!

Squeaky chairs duet with voice emulation software.  Minecraft sounds turn into a trance epic.  The act of slicing a tomato becomes a whirling stomping beatfeast.  Yawns and brown noise lull the senses.  And who knew squelching recreational slime could sound so musical?

Featuring special guest star Sir David Attenborough.
