Previously a two-year labour of love at community radio station 2MCE in Bathurst, NSW - Abstract Paradigms is a new podcast focusing on experimental and underground music from Melbourne and the world. With the perspective of an outsider entering a new city, each week we take a gander at some of the new releases and upcoming gigs from the local scene and play some tunes to get you excited.
Coming up soon we've got interviews with local composers and label heads and much more excellent music. This week's show included new punk from Jazz, zany pop and moody electronics that saw light in a Carlton bar over the weekend, field recording folk from Francis Plagne, Melbourne-via-Dunedin darkwave from Ov Pain, noisy jams from some old releases, and Japanese synthpop pioneers to top the show off.
