Acclaimed Improvisational trio The Necks are returning to Australia for a national tour in February and March and to record a new album. The Necks are one of Australia’s great cult bands - they have been playing together for over 25 years and are celebrated world-wide for creating immersive, hypnotic concert experiences over two one-hour completely improvised sets with acoustic piano (Chris Abrahams), acoustic bass (Lloyd Swanton) and drums (Tony Buck). The Necks walk on stage and they start playing. Nothing is planned or discussed. The trust that has developed over quarter of a century of playing together creates a unique musical symbiosis.
