Tuesday July 30th @ the Make It Up Club

This Tuesday at MIUC sees us plumb the two extremities of liberated sound - a dose of extreme fragility and extreme brutality. Cycle 440 is a Perth unit incorporating the keyboard as a tonal fount, processing through extensive electronic treatment to careen through soundscapes that can be at once hauntingly beautiful and uncompromisingly gritty. And Marcus Cook deals with the oppressive nature of the transition to middle-age with his audiovisual project Pewter Snake Necklace, perhaps best summed up in three of his track names - ''Poor Judgement'', ''Professional Regret'' and, most poignantly, ''Awkward Office High Five''.
