On
Thursday the 20th of June, Big Yawn will be launching their recorded
output at the Tote Hotel in Collingwood. The release is entitled ‘Hash
Matters/Lowlite’ 7” (on Fallopian Tunes- www.fallopiantunes.com)
and was recorded at Head Gap Studios by Simon Cotter (of Document Swell).
The EP merges industrial and bellicose electronics with an ominous and
disruptive swell of beats and rhythms. ‘Hash Matters/Lowlite’ 7” dually
explores sounds both spacious and claustrophobic.
Also on the night will be
Bonnie Mercer, Jealous Husband and Call Me Professor.
