PCS curates MUSIKUNST – 4pm Saturday 29th December 2012

MUSIKUNST is happening on the last Saturday of every month in the basement of The Great Britain Hotel 447 Church St Richmond. Doors open at 4:00pm, performances start at 4:30pm and entry is $5 / $10

This month on Saturday 29th December 2012 is:

PCS curates MUSIKUNST + Lee Smith's Cathedral
with special guest VJ Ladylux

The last show of the year at MUSIKUNST will be curated by PCS, an ever changing collective of musicians mostly from Melbourne, focusing on live performance free improvisation with a psychedelic edge.

Sometimes incorporating a visual aspect to their shows, the PCS performance at MUSIKUNST will be no exception to this rule with special guest VJ Ladylux using light projections incorporated into a sonic spatial presentation that will be utilising the full space available in the basement of the GB Hotel.

The final performance and the highlight of the show this month will be the premiere showing of the experimental short film “Cathedral”, the last film by local artist/filmmaker/musician Lee Smith before his untimely death 4 years ago. The soundtrack will be performed live by PCS in a tribute to this glorious film made up of 1,700 individually created images assembled into a kaleidoscopic eruption of visual expression not to be missed.

This month PCS are:

Piers Morgan – pedals, cables, guitars
Steven Gill – pedals, cables, guitars
Terry McDermott – laptop, MAX/MSP, found sound
special guest VJ Ladylux - light projections
