This week, a special conduction performance devised by Australian expat, Jasmine Guffond (out from Berlin for some Melbourne Festival action). The piece uses brass and winds to generate other-worldy timbres and frequencies, in a randomised, oscillating, aleatoric improv. Sydney avant voice performer, Tony Osborne returns for a set of extended voice and electronic processing. And Brisbane's Oscill_Ether, with extrapolated electronics, incorporating the traditions of the tabletop and the synth, with contemporary sonic abstractions.
