Tuesday April 12th @ the Make It Up Club

Tonight, the MIUC features the plucked and blown, with two sublime duos transgressing the traditions of bebop and non-idiomatic improv, embracing the outsider, the absurd, and the bruitagist instincts of anti-music. Sonic dadaists, David Palliser and Alexis Ensor (the Charles Ives Singers and the Donkey's Tail), improvise some collapsed rarities ranging from the demented to the delicate. And the 21st century's contemporalised reincarnation of Bailey/Parker, Gearoid Brinn and Lloyd Honeybrook map the future of 1970s non-idiomatic improvisation, launching it into the stratosphere of sonic possibilities.

David Palliser (clarinet with loops and voice) and Alexis Ensor (monostring cigarbox, horns and voice)

Gearoid Brinn (electric guitar) and Lloyd Honeybrook (amplified alto saxophone)
