Tonight: 3 very innovative trios drawing from the traditions of American free jazz and European free improvisation, but extemporising from an undeniably modern perspective. From Sydney, the duo of Jim Denley and Mike Majkowski are joined by Dutch expatriate, Cor Fuhler. Expect an immersive experience of pure, sympathic sound. Berlin-based, but Bellarine-raised Steve Heather returns to Melbourne and is joined by two veterans of the free improv scene, Ren Walters and David Tolley.
