Tuesday August 24th @ the Make It Up Club

This week, the MIUC runs the gamut from circuit-bending, to extreme vokills, to skronking double quintet aktion. Damien Young's Social Climber project explores the sonic expanse of DIY electronics, creating impossible audial landscapes through cracked circuits and voice. Two of Melbourne's most talented extreme metal singers combine for the first time as a duo, blending abstract noise electronics with the growling viscera of grindcore and black metal. And a massive group featuring some of Melbourne's most experimental improvisers harvesting the limits of free jazz and free punk.

Social Climber AKA, Damien Young (electronics, circuit-bent instrumentation and voice)

Nik Kennedy (voice and electronics) and Shane van den Akker (voice and electronics)

Dead Ants Rainbow double quintet featuring: Trent Brown (drums), A D Machine (bass), Matt Gerdes (sax), Will Hamann (guitar), Samuel Ekkehardt Dunscombe (clarinet), Troy Naumoff (guitar), Deryck Hunt (drums), Lloyd Honeybrook (bass), Chris Nylstock (sax), and Paul Kidney (sax and octopus)
