M.Rösner + The Ghost of 29 Megacycles Australian Tour Spring 2009
Western Australian based artists M.Rösner and The Ghost of 29 Megacycles mark the release of forthcoming records with a joint Australian tour in October and November 2009. The tour will take in shows in Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. After a slew of well received hand made CD-R's, The Ghost of 29 Megacycles will launch their debut album “Love via Paper Planes”, featuring 6 tracks of shoegaze guitar, organ and processed vocals recorded in M.Rosner's living room at Myalup Beach. “Love via Paper Planes” will be released through Sydney label, Sound and Fury. After a 3 year break between albums, M.Rösner releases “repeat” on limited edition 12” vinyl through UK label 12x50. Inspired by Morton Feldman, cycles and patterns and the ocean, “repeat” was built from recordings of vocals, piano, processed guitar and max/mxp. For the past 18 months M.Rösner has been joined on stage and in the studio by The Ghost of 29 Megacycles' Greg Taw. Greg augments Matt's laptop and guitar sound with drum textures and guitar drone, pushing the live sound into new minimalistic directions.
