Tuesday August 4th @ the Make It Up Club

This week at MIUC, some postmodern improv explorations. First up, the bearded half of legendary plunderphonics duo, Antdiluvian Rocking Horse, presenting the premier performance of his art project "records are made to be broken," wherein Paul Wain has meticulously re-glued together some choice cuts of vinyl platter deliberately shattered in prior art aktions; then a duo featuring 2 generations of extreme, extended woodwind technique from 2 practitioners inhabiting the frontiers of their practice; and finally, a collaboration that had to happen with Fox and Baxter in a realtime-processing maelstrom of percussive-junk-noise-maxmsp brutality.
