Tuesday, June 23rd @ the Make It Up Club

This week at MIUC, some unique performers from the scuzz-pop-netherworlds of noise and sonority, including: Melbourne assassins of the noise/grind interface, Holy Boner, team up with Japanese didgeridoo virtuoso, Yoshi Hongan, for a collaboration that defies genre expectations—sublime (yet brutal) noise with incredible communication; 3 of the city’s most adventurous projects from the noise-pop underground (Super Star, 8008 and Pissy Paw) combine for an exclusive performance (this will be one of Olle Holmberg’s last performances before heading back to Norway); and the incredible Dan Brady (a significant contributor to such pioneering groups as Occult Blood and the Psych Ward Cult) presents his solo project EITHER/OR.
  • Holy Boner with Yoshi. Featuring: Brad Smith (drums, junk and electronics), Nik Kennedy (bass, clarinet and electronics) with Yoshi Hongan (didgeridoo, vocals and electronics)
  • Super Star + 8008 + Pissy Paw. Featuring Olle Holmberg (sampler, effects and vocals), Jesse Dimmick (saxophone and recorder), Esther Edquist (synthesizer, keyboards and vocals) and Kieran Hegarty (guitar)
  • EITHER/OR aka Dan Brady (analogue tape machines, static and earth-hum)
