Tonight: a rare occasion to witness two of Australia’s most innovative and accomplished experimental musicians (and masters of extended technique on their chosen instruments) in duo form. Both Avenaim and Brown have international reputations as leading avant garde improvisers, but get to perform together too infrequently; And a debut grouping featuring two of Melbourne’s new breed of visual artists—who also happen to be amongst the most inventive and uncompromising sound artists—spearheading the city’s vibrant New Noise scene. - Robbie Avenaim (percussion) and Dave Brown (prepared guitar)
