MAXIMUM AROUSAL presents JOHNNY SAW HORSES CD Launch with SUPER STUPID plus TAG-TEAM SET from KES / BIDDY CONNOR / COUGAR FLASHY

Launching their debut album, Juarez, Melbourne-based duo Johnny Saw Horses will be playing one of their last shows in Oz before a brief hiatus. 'Juarez' is named after Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and is conceptually based upon the many unsolved murders and abusive crimes against women in this city and Chihuahua.
The duo is an ongoing partnership between Jess Pinney and James Rushford. Pinney alsoperforms solo under the moniker, JUAREZ, and Rushford is a composer who also plays in a variety of avant-classical ensembles, including the experimental duo, Reindeer and Parchment. Johnny Saw Horses brings together their vast musical interests, producing something more fluid to placate their epic country-rock/folk/pop/noise hearts. The album 'Juarez' expands the group's usual sensibilities, with contributions from Ned Collette, Joe Talia, Neil Sweeney and Marco Fusinato, alongside a DIY-choir of local heroes. The launch will feature a version of this expanded ensemble.

Also appearing are psych-rock juggernauts Super Stupid + a "tag team" set from Kes, Biddy Connor & Cougar Flashy
