Performing for the first time: 10% is a yadaki (didgeridoo) noise power trio featuring David Wilfred, Liquid Architecture alumni Martin Ng on turntables, and Ben Carey on analogue synth. A first of its kind, the group reimagines the guitar power trio format by placing the yadaki, the traditional instrument of the Yolngu peoples, at the centre of its sound. 10% explores the full sonic potential of the yadaki, from deep, resonant drones to intricate rhythmic textures, blending electronic soundscapes, analogue synthesis, and turntable manipulations. The trio’s performances are immersive and experimental, allowing the ancient voice of the didgeridoo to drive a modern exploration of noise, resonance, and sound.
